MISSION STREET FOOD - Anthony Myint & Karen Leibowitz
hottodoggu serves delicious japanese-inspired hotdogs, loaded fries and drinks to hungry people. we love doing it. that's it, all you need to know is right here.
if you'd like to know a bit more. our delicious dawgs are award winning, allergen free and made here in the UK with love by original BAHD boys bigapplehotdogs.
we're fascinated by japanese food and the search for the fifth flavour, umami, it literally means 'satisfying like meat'. from sausages served with seaweed to our dashi cheese sauce, our food reflects this.
'yota' our toyota dyna, is based on the 'kei' food trucks we came across in japan. he's also a rolling orange cube of art, painted by the very talented people at seventh circle artworks and aesthetics - (check out the stop-motion here).
hottodoggu is our attempt to put something positive into the world. all our ingredients are high quality. our trays, cups, cutlery and napkins are supplied by Vegware and are fully compostible. we appreciate not everyone eats meat, so we put as much love and thought into our vegan options.
we're proud to be members of the very lovely nationwide caterers association.
we have a food hygiene rating of 5, the highest possible standard.
hottdoggu draws inspiration from japan (for clarity i'm 0% japanese, see photo for confirmation), but also from the hotdog carts of north-america and from people i admire, but have never met, particularly: mission street food, a book i would recommend anyone to read, Ivan Ramen, The Manual (KLF) and Street Food Soliloquy by Felicity Luxmoore. thank-you to them.
